Packaging & Shipping Instructions

Learn how to safely package and ship your tapes for optimal results and minimal damage.

Shipping

In the box containing the tapes you are shipping, please include a pre-paid shipping label, allowing us to return your tapes to you. If you forget to include the pre-paid label, we will inform you via email, and you may email us your pre-paid label.

It is not advisable to ship tapes in moderate to extreme heat, as it may damage them. We visually inspect the tapes upon arrival to ensure they are in good shape and email you if they are damaged. If they arrive in bad condition, we will not perform the transfer service. You will receive a refund but will have to pay for shipping.

Receipt

Upon receipt of your tapes, we will email you to confirm their arrival, including photographs to document their condition upon arrival.

Organization

If you have multiple tapes for a single recording session, label them accordingly so that we know which tapes to transfer and sync together.

If you have track sheets, please send them; however, transferring is still possible without them.

Mold

To check to see if your tapes have mold on them, look at the windows through which you can see the actual tape. If this tape appears to have white spots on it, this is mold!

If you have stored your tapes in a damp place or had water damage to them, it is crucial to check for mold. Molding of the tapes does not generally happen during shipping as it takes a long time to occur.

If there is mold on your tapes, we unfortunately cannot transfer them as we do not possess the technology to remove it.
